CHANGELOG
brainful August F2 Report's update brings a mix of brand-new tools, cleaner design choices, and important fixes to make brainful smoother and more collaborative. Here’s a quick look at what’s new.
A New Way to Manage Your Blocks
Improvements
Updated action buttons: Small overlapping icons were replaced with larger, pill-style buttons that are easier to see and click. Each button now includes a clear icon and hover explanation. The blockbar has also been simplified by condensing text and organizing everything into action buttons for a cleaner experience.
Fixes
Removed unnecessary “No changes made” pop-up: The app will now only show update messages when a real edit is made. This reduces visual noise and ensures that notifications remain meaningful, with the sync indicator continuing to show the block’s save status.
Enhanced text readability in Light Mode: Text on the Privacy Policy page now has improved contrast, making it more accessible and comfortable to read. Further refinements to this page and related pages are planned in the coming days.
Real-Time Word Count: The word count now updates live as you type. It has been integrated into the editor header alongside the sync indicator, giving a clearer view of both writing progress and save status.
Contributor Entities Insertion: Contributors can now insert entities into blocks they don’t own. Previously, only the block creator could perform this action, which limited collaboration. This fix restores expected permissions and improves shared editing.
YouTube Link Embeds: Pasting YouTube video links now correctly generates embeds. Previously, embed generation failed, and no workaround was available.
Experimental
Pipelines (Beta): A new pipelines feature is available in the sidebar. It allows you to create kanban-style process flows by selecting entity scopes and columns. Pipelines now appear in block headers, showing which pipeline(s) a block belongs to and its current stage.
