Thorough thinking will get you further than thorough planning. If one is so adamant about the future that they are able to lay out the golden path to achieving some arbitrary goal, that all they need to do is just tread on it, then they are acting from a position of cluelessness, not working towards innovation, but a tried trail travelled a thousand times over.

The best innovations did not arise from meticulous planning, but from small ideas, quietly revisited time and time again, away from any glamorous spotlight.
