What's New
➕ addedDropdown Toggle: You can now create collapsible sections inside any block using the new dropdown toggle. Perfect for organizing long content, hiding details, and keeping your writing clean and structured.
➕ addedAnnotation Toggle: Add hover-based annotations to any part of your text. This lets you embed contextual definitions, notes, or explanations without breaking your writing flow.
➕ addedEnhanced Block References View: Blockboxes now include a dedicated “References to” section at the top, giving you a clearer picture of how your ideas connect. This makes it easier to navigate your knowledge graph, review your connections, and understand the context of each block at a glance.
➕ added Magic Entities:Entities just became smarter. Magic Entities now extend beyond simple organisation and unlock meta-level behavior across blocks, blockrefs, and threads.New categories include:
- Sticky: Keep important blocks persistent across all blockspaces.
- Announcement: Automatically resurface updated blocks to all contributors.
- Template: Turn any block into a reusable template with a one-click Copy Block action.
- Counting: Highlight entities used across multiple blocks by showing them in graph view.
Two new entity categories designed to keep sensitive content secure.
- Readonly: ensures that only the original author can make changes.
- Hidden: keeps a block fully private by limiting access to the creator, preventing it from appearing in suggestions or automated workflows, and blocking external services from reading it.
➕ addedBlock ID Context in Chat: Jarvis Chat now accepts pasted Block IDs as additional context. Once added, they stay active for all follow-up questions until removed, enabling far more precise and context-aware responses.
What's Resolved
✅ fixedBlockspace Switching: Fixed an issue where switching blockspaces could load blocks from a different space. Switching now consistently loads only the correct blocks every time.
✅ fixedJarvis Responsiveness: General AI performance has been improved for faster and more stable responses.
✅ fixedChat Reliability: A potential issue that caused AI chat responses to fail loading has been resolved, ensuring messages load consistently.
What's Improved
✨ changedBlockspace UI: Blockspaces now use a simplified minimal grid and floating blockboxes instead of a fixed central editor. This reduces clutter, prevents windows from covering UI elements, and makes spatial relationships between blocks more intuitive.
✨ changedGrid Performance: The editor's background grid has been optimized for smoother performance and now displays grid dimensions in the bottom-right corner for better spatial awareness.
✨ changedLight and Dark Mode Styling: Both light and dark mode styling have been improved for better readability, contrast, and overall visual polish.
✨ changedJarvis Interface Look: The built-in agent now has a more compact design, making conversations more readable and reducing dead spaces in the chat UI.
✨ changedBlockbox Tabs: Blockbox tabs have been redesigned for a more intuitive and flexible experience. Titles now have more space for better readability, and controls have been updated for clarity, including a clearer “shrink/show” label and a new minimize option. The minimize and maximize behaviors are now easier to understand, and double-clicking on a tab title instantly toggles between views similar to how windows behave on desktop operating systems.
✨ changedRefined “Referenced By” Section: The bottom of each blockbox now distinguishes between one-way and two-way connections. Mutual links are marked with a new two-way icon, helping you immediately identify which blocks share a bidirectional relationship with the current block. This improves link visibility and replaces the old blockflow approach, making relationship management more intuitive and discoverable.
✨ changedSearch Relevance: Search accuracy is now noticeably improved when matching block titles. Results show more relevant blocks upfront and maintain consistent performance across older content.
✨ changedThread Renaming: AI ChatThreads can now be renamed directly inside the conversation view. Names update instantly within the thread.
✨ changedApplication-Layer Encryption: Block and entity data are now protected with enhanced application-layer encryption, providing stronger security without affecting usage or performance.
